The site was down for a week — because I turned on SSL and everything exploded

Hey everyone,

Last week I finally enabled HTTPS on ny2honolulu.com. One click later the site fell into an endless redirect loop, the hosting provider auto-suspended the account for excessive errors, and it stayed completely dead for seven full days while I scrambled to fix it.

It’s back now, running properly under HTTPS with the little green padlock, and (fingers crossed) stable.

Sorry for disappearing like that. Normal posts resume tomorrow.
